Adult Education and ESL (English as a Second Language Programs)
Our StudentsAdult Basic Education/ESL is the key to a successful transition for immigrants and refugees. Annually, this program serves 202 students, each of whom would have had at least 153 hours in ESL. The classes are tailored to fit individual needs. The focus of our ESL classes is on daily interaction as well as job-skills based English learning. |
our classesOur free classes at VSS focus on Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening using practical everyday topics to help our students gain the language skills they at work and in their community. Currently, our classes include ESL - Level 1, 2 and 3 (from pre-beginning to Intermediate. In addition, Beginning Digital Literacy and Work Readiness classes are available to current students.

ESL - Level 1: In Person classes Monday - Friday ESL - Level 2: In Person Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Meets on Zoom Wednesday ESL - Level 3: In Person Monday and Tuesday and on Zoom Wednesday - Friday Beginning Digital Literacy Monday and Fri 12:30 - 1:30 pm Work Readiness Tuesday and Thursday 12:30 -1:30 pm |
